ATTENTION SCAM ALERT IN THE VILLAGE OF ANTWERP

It has been brought to the attention of the Antwerp Police Department that phone calls are being made to residents claiming to be the residents satellite provider, i.e., Dish or Direct TV trying to set an appointment to come into the home to upgrade their equipment.  Once in the home it is discovered that the person does not represent Dish or Direct TV, but some company called Midwest Digital.  Do not leave anyone in your home that claims to be from your satellite company unless you have personally called them and set the appointment.  In checking with the two satellite companies they do not have anyone in area and that this is a scam.  If you are contacted by this person or you have already had this person in your home and signed a contract, please contact the Antwerp Police Department at 419-258-2627.
