Starting Monday, August 17, 2015 the Monroe Street Railroad Crossing will be closed to allow for the railroad to begin renovations to the crossing. After the railroad has removed the broken up asphalt, Loop Asphalt will install new asphalt between the rails and pave the approaches. This repair is a result of Mercer Landmark, the Village of Antwerp and Pioneer Railcorp sharing in the cost of the new asphalt. The project should take approximately a week, depending on weather, and the crossing will be closed to all traffic until the repair is completed. Any questions should be directed to the Village Administrator at 419-258-2371
