ANTWERP CLEAN-UP & RECYCLING DAY

Time: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Location: Water Plant, Waterplant Drive
As a courtesy to the residents of the Village of Antwerp on Saturday, MAY 24, 2014
the Village will be holding a clean-up and recycling day for the RESIDENTS ONLY
of Antwerp Village.

The Village will supply rolloff waste containers for bulky items plus
A separate container for Steel Only and
Recycle bins for Paper, Cardboard, Plastic #1 and #2, Steel and Aluminum cans,
Computer Components
Batteries will also be taken
Clothing will be donated, please bag separately to be recycled.

Normal bulky waste that can be brought to the water plant would be considered anything that a person would take when moving from house to house. Carpet must be cut 6ft. wide pieces, rolled, and tied in a bundle. Appliances such as washer/dryers, stoves, hot water heaters and microwaves will be taken. New this year, batteries will be taken and appliances with Freon. Also computers, printers, electronic items and cell phones. TIRES WILL BE TAKEN FOR A PRICE OF $3.00 EACH FOR CAR AND LIGHT TRUCKS AND $6.00 FOR SEMI TIRES THIS DAY ONLY. DO NOT DROP TIRES AT ERIE RECYCLING CENTER

Items listed as UNACCEPTABLE will NOT be taken.

Unacceptable and/or prohibited items include:
Paint cans in liquid form, propane tanks, building materials, toilets, windows, construction debris, concrete, dirt, yard waste, trees, shrubs, hazardous waste, septic waste, animal remains, parts of infectious waste, motor oil, cutting oil solvents, explosives, acids, drug caustic poisons and ashes. No bagged household garbage! (you can use bags for toys, etc.,)

ABSOLUTELY NO MOTOR OIL – HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE

Please Note: The water plant will be manned to help assist residents in dropping off your items. Please have your recyclables separated into the categories listed above. Also seniors or handicapped households can call Erie Recycling at (cell): 260-602-9670 for pick up of their waste/recyclable material.
